Boo All Y’all

Here is a shoutout to my inspiration for this design. Texans Ronnie and Becky and friends from the Moonshine Ranch taught me some important and wonderful things about being a Texan. Among them were the proper use of the word “y’all”.

The pattern for this design is in the 2019 Special Halloween Issue of Just Cross Stitch. I used 32 count Peoria Purple linen from Weeks Dye Works and embellished with a cowboy boot button from Just Another Button Company.

I learned some good Texas skills like watching for rattlers, enjoying barbecue and my favorite, spontaneously yelling, “the stars at night, are big and bright,” so I could hear all Texans present clap their hands three times and finish with, “deep in the heart of Texas”. But the closest I could ever get to roping was gluing the rope around this design.

I’m an artist who loves to work in different media. My favorite to work in is thread and fabric doing counted cross stitch design.
