Here is my latest design in my Celtic Series. I stitched it with beads onto perforated paper and also stitched it on Jobelan using DMC floss and Kreinik metallic threads. It is sparkly, fun and the symmetry of the design is satisfies my need for order.
The pattern will be available at the end of this month.
Here is a design I made for this beautiful box that Dennis Mulhern from Patches N Planks made. He finished the inside of the box as beautifully as the outside. I used DMC thread and fabric, and Kreinik cording. To get the variegated blue jewel look, I used Painter’s thread from Threadnuts in the color Nikki. The pattern is available in the April 2017 issue of Just Cross stitch.
This charm didn’t make the cut in either of the wine charm kits, but I wanted to give you the pattern in case you had an odd number of guests. You can also make it into a Christmas ornament.
It is stitched on 14 count white perforated paper, 1.43″ square, using DMC floss, two strands. . – 223, 1 – 224, 3 – 321, 4 – 666, 5 – 814, 6 – 700, 7 – 445, 8 – 726, 9 – 742. Outline with one strand in 310 black. If you enjoy stitching this, Frony Ritter Designs has four other kits to stitch.
I like to stitch Celtic things, but I also like to paint my favorite places in Ireland. Here are paintings I made of Hore Abbey from the Rock of Cashel. The angel on the wall and in the garden may or may not have been “artistic license”. I used acrylics on Masonite panels.
